Baby Time!

Don't worry, it's not baby time for me! But, my sisters are BOTH having boys!!! I am thinking this will make Stella very spoiled. She will be the favorite niece and granddaughter for a while! (At least on my side, I love the two I have on Skyler's side also.) It will be so fun to have more boys in the family.
Speaking of Stella, I got to babysit her for a couple days while my sister was on a vacation. This picture of her is from when she woke up at six in the morning... she was full of energy. Look at the devious little face. Hopefully her little brother will keep her entertained when she wakes up early so next time I can just watch her at a distance.
I must admit that watching Stella was some great birth control. It was fun, don't get me wrong, but I like sleep, order, and cleanliness. Stella seems to know the exact time that I'll take out her diaper and leave her unattended for 1.3 seconds. She takes that time to make her break for the toilet where she splashes around in her brand new church outfit I just put her in. Then, Grayson taught her his new-found favorite activity, which is pulling out all of my mom's DVD's and throwing them all over the office. A 378 DVD pick-up game is not so fun when you are the only one playing.
But she is a sweet cuddler and a very good hide-and-go-seek player in church. Her and Grayson satisfy all my baby needs for now. Plus I get two new babies! And I don't have to do any of the work.

Hello world! I'm back

Well, it has been over a year since my last post. Since everyone now has a blog, I figured Skyler and I should jump on the bandwagon.
I can't believe all that has happened in the last year! My friends have become world travelers, many of my best friends have gotten married, I got married, switched colleges, moved apartments, and became a fan of hockey. I can only imagine what will happen this next year.

Speaking of hockey, my husband made the University of Utah hockey team, GO UTES! (Unless they play BYU, then I remain neutral...) I have never watched hockey until now, but I must admit that it is very entertaining. I very much enjoy watching my husband slam the other team's players into the wall. I didn't even know he played hockey until he told me he was trying out for the team... had we dated before we got married I'm sure I would have found out. He is slowing converting me to a UofU fan.

Beginning a new year, along with a new life together, has been very exciting. Skyler and I started the year off with a fabulous honeymoon to Cozumel. We got to spend a week together swimming, snorkeling, swimming with dolphins, and cruising around in a "Mexican Ferrari." I bought Skyler a speedo as a joke for Christmas, and he brought it along. I am pretty sure it turned out to be his favorite gift... it has certainly gotten the most use.
Being married has been amazing. I have heard many people say the first year is the hardest, but after being married for five months I can easily say I married the best man! So far, these last five months, have been some of the best months of my life.

Speaking of married life, I recently learned that my husband is a wicked black-jack player. His work took us on a cruise and Skyler taught me his ways. It is the only place I am old enough to play... I can't wait for the day when I don't have to take my marriage certificate on a vacation so I can stay in the same room as my husband and not have to have a 25 year old chaperone.

Back to black-jack, Sky got super sick on the cruise and got quarentined to his room. So I got to hit the tables by myself and try out my new-found skills. I got a hundred bucks to play with, lost eighty-five, then figured "go big or go home!" and won it all back, plus an extra hundred! I felt bad leaving Skyler alone in his agony.... but it paid off.

STELLA!

Stella has finally arrived! It was not an easy or short journey, but she is here. We don't have many pictures yet but we will get them up asap so the family can see her. She is beautiful! I'll let Ry tell everyone about her when she comes home from the hospital, but for now all you get is a picture and these details: Stella was born at 5 P.M. on August 28. She is 20 inches long, and weighs 7 lbs. and 13 ounces.

Alright. So Tia set this blog up for me over two years ago. And this is my first time on it! I have decided to join in on the family fun and try to keep my blog updated. I'm in Iowa with Ry at the moment. I've been here for two weeks waiting for Stella to come. Which has yet to happen. I've tried everything! I make Ry go on long walks every day, do lunges, ride on bumpy roads and do water aerobics in the pool. Nothing is working. Looks like Stella will stay in until her due date. BUMMER. But we have been taking lots of pictures of Ry's baby bump so I will try to put those up as soon as possible.
School starts soon! I have one mission in mind this semester. But it is a secret... It will be a pleasant surprise when my mission is accomplished.
This is all for now. We will update everyone when Stella finally decides to show her face!
